Last Monday, I have presented my idea to the whole class. Feedback was good and I am set to proceed. These are my presentation slides.

Idea Proposal
Based on my previous idea generation and consultation. I have decided to proceed with Idea #1 ("Hipsters vs Hippies). As mentioned by my lecturer, he thought that it would be a good project to work on since the opportunity to do more research on the project is vast and I would agree on that too.
In order to create this project, there are a few objectives that needs to be stated. My objectives are;
In order to create this project, there are a few objectives that needs to be stated. My objectives are;
- To introduce current fashion trends of Malaysians
- To understand between the two similar fashion trends
- To challenge the public of their knowledge of current local trends
- To create a fun and new interactive way of learning a new culture
The main story of the project is to focus on the misuse of the term "hipster" and "hippie" in a Malaysian context. Which is why I propose to create an interactive web-game that challenges people of our hip culture.
The main research key points would be to research about the current young generation fashion. Be it, their taste of design, music, food and many more.

Reality, Augmented
It is the 4th week of the semester already and newer software, like Metaio Creator. Metaio Creator is an Augmented Reality software. From what I have experienced, Augmented Reality or AR is where users get to experience more content based on what they see or scan with their smartphones. It generates various types of multimedia content such as 3D models, videos, images or sound based on what the users scan.
Metaio Creator, is available on the computer and on Android and iOS phones. For today's tutorial, we were given a demonstration by Mr. Muzamir on the software. We learned how to project simple 3D models on a simple "marker" or basically an image that can be used to scan to project the 3D model.
Below are the steps to creating an Image Tracking project:
Overall, it is a very fun software to learn although we learned the basic stuff. There are more content to explore and learn on this software. Hopefully this software could prove useful for my future projects!

Adobe Muse
In the last few days, Mr. Muzamir has introduced to us Adobe Muse - A rather fitting software name for my lecturer. Essentially Muse allows programmers and designers alike to create a website, again, without all the complexity of coding. It is like a blend of Dreamweaver and Illustrator.
We did a short exercise on creating a simple "site". Below are some of the screenshots that I took.
I like the simplicity of designing a website in Muse. It feels much easier and modern compared to other Website-coding softwares. However, I think Dreamweaver allows so much more control rather than Edge or Muse. In the end, it all depends on how users like to code or design their website.

Ideas for an Experiential Project
For this subject, I have to generate a series of ideas and topics for an experiential project. These are very rough ideas and I will continue to redefine one of the chosen topics below.
Idea #1 - Hipsterism vs Hippies.
In today's fashion trends, it has become so vast that people are starting to revive the older fashion trends. With these "revived" trends, it's hard to differentiate between certain fashion trends since some look similar to each other.
Idea #2 - Web Design Trends.
A timeline exploration of the history of web. More specifically, web design trends from when it first started until now.
Idea #3 - Milo Recipes?
Milo has been around for a long time. This chocolate powder has introduced to the world new recipes of food, particularly pastry or drinks.

First Lesson
And today marks the first day of class! With more new and
exciting Adobe softwares waiting to be unveiled by Mr. Muzamir. There are 3
different softwares that can be learned in this subject and they are:
- Adobe Edge
- Adobe Muse
- Metaio Creator
Edge is like a mixture of different Adobe softwares such as Dreamweaver, After Effects and Flash. It can be used to develop websites or even create games. Since it features elements from different softwares, it is made to simplify the technicality of users. So far, we have only learned the basics of the software itself and looked at examples of websites done using Edge. A lot can be found through this website http://edgedocks.com/.

Introduction
Hi, my name is Izzat Asad and welcome to my journal of
Experiential Design. In this blog, I will be documenting anything that I have
done during the course of this multimedia subject. Readers may find blog posts
about new softwares that I have learned or even documentations on projects that
I will be working on in this subject. I will try and make this blog
entertaining to read and that is all for now.
Happy Reading!
- Izzat
